Most of you are probably aware of the big change that Andy and I made when we decided to become nomadic. More recently you would have seen and heard more about location independent living on my blog/ tweets/ facebook, and perhaps you joined me and Lea Woodward last week, when I interviewed her (you can download the recording here) about creating an independent, flexible and free lifestyle through location independent living.
I’ve joined the Location Independent Team
If you already hang out in Lea’s neck of the woods, then you’d also know that I’ve become their resident Location Independent Coach, answering people’s questions about location independent living and lifestyle design (which I’m super-excited about!), and Lea selected me as one of the Location Independent Community Outreach Team Leaders, along with Cody McKibben, Amy Palko, Zoe Westhof and Sharon Hurley Hall. (Find out more about who the team are over here). Basically I’m chief evangelist for location independent living in the lifestyle design arena (an easy job, since I’m already sold on it myself, and I’m seeing so many more people wanting to get into it).
Location Independent Courses
Lea’s Location Independent Business Course really helped me with the changes I needed to make to my business, so that it could go anywhere with me, and so Lea and I have created a special package for the Mine Your Resources tribe. Location independent living is all about creating a lifestyle that you love – it’s not just a financial decision, so we got together and created an additional bonus audio guide to help you with getting started custom-designing your location independent lifestyle – a great addition to Lea’s business guidance.
- You can get more details about the Location Independent Business Course Package (including the “Get Started Designing Your Location Independent Lifestyle” bonus audio guide) over here.
- And we’ve made “Get Started Designing Your Location Independent Lifestyle” available for purchase individually too over here. (Great for if you’re just starting to think about the idea of Location Independent Living).
Bringing Location Independent Living and Agile Living Together
Look out for a lot more from me about location independent living – I think it’s one of the lifestyles that expresses the Agile Living philosophy really well, and Lea and I are developing some very cool stuff for the Location Independent community, including custom coaching programs for people who are location independent or aspiring to be (I’ll tell you more about that in the next few weeks).
Bringing the Community Together
One of the things that excites me most about this community is the commitment to connecting and collaborating with other people – there really is a mindset that, “now that the geographical boundaries have been dissolved, lets find all the like-minded people have a big tribal party!” (Would you like to meet like-minded people? Then check out the free location independent community clubhouse.)
One of the initiatives to connect more location independents and aspiring location independents together is this survey that Corbet Barr at Free Pursuits is running. If you’re location independent, or aspiring to be, please join the survey so we can all learn more about it each other and unite the community further.
The survey will be open for you to participate from 3 June till 14 June. I’ll be publishing the results after 17 June, and everyone who participates will be sent a copy of the results.

I’m really excited about these ventures (and the adventures they can bring for all of us). If you see location independent living as one of the ways you’d like to live an Agile Life, then drop me an email or comment below and let’s connect!
