Mine Your Resources Stretching It's Legs

For those of you not yet on my newsletter list, I wanted to share some of the new developments you can expect at Mine Your Resources (you can sign up here if you’d like to get onto my monthly newsletter list). So here goes:

  • I’m doing a lot of writing these days: my blog, guest posts, Bottom-line Bookclub programs… and I have a few ideas for DIY coaching programs and live workshops that I’ve wanted to start writing, but haven’t had the time to start yet. So I’ve decided to trim down my blog posts back to once a week on Mine Your Resources. These posts will be on a Tuesday. I will however be posting links for the guest posts I write for other blogs, so you can easily find them. You’ll still get lots of great tips and tools – some will be on my blog and I’ll help you find the others I write for other blogs.
  • I’m busy working on a full website for the Bottom-line Bookclub, with some additional resources, which I hope to launch in the next few weeks. I’ll be making the Bottom-line Bookclub monthly learning programs available individually (at a higher price point than the club membership) for people who wish to buy just 1 particular topic that’s relevant to something they’re wanting help with right now.
  • I’ve had quite a few people join my Bottom-line Bookclub affiliate program or request to review the Bottom-line Bookclub on their blog, and I’m really excited to be working with these people to spread the love. If you have a blog in the personal development arena and would like to review the Bottom-line Bookclub on your blog or join the affiliate team, then drop me an email and I’ll send you a Bottom-line package to review.
  • I’ve added email coaching to my offerings. Email coaching isn’t right for everyone – you’ve definitely got to be more self-motivated, and some people seem to need the greater sense of connection that they get from Skype or phone calls where they get immediate responses and feedback from me. But if you’re self-motivated, enjoy writing and don’t feel you need to hear my voice, and if you’re a very busy person who finds it hard to make and stick to appointments or who changes time zones often because of work or travel, then email coaching could suit you well – especially if you’d like to do coaching on a tighter budget. You can find out more about email coaching over here.
  • I’ve been very far down the tunnel of the online world this year. I’m keen to get outside into the “real” world and do live talks again. If you have a group you’d love me to speak to, drop me an email. I’m in London until 24 Sept, when I go to Cape Town, SA until the end of the year. Looks like I may well be in the USA or Canada next year, but that’s still to be decided… If you’d love to have me chat to your peeps and they’re not in London or South Africa, I’m up for doing it teleseminar style and we can use my call conferencing software for that, so get in touch with me if you’d like to do a teleseminar.
  • My monthly free teleseminars with relevant experts will continue for the rest of the year.

Mine Your Resources Around the Web

As promised, I’ll keep you updated on guest posts and articles I write around the web. Here are two of my articles that were recently published on other personal development blogs:

How Not Knowing Can Unleash Your Creative Genius

I enjoyed writing my post, “How Not Knowing Can Unleash Your Creative Genius” for Glen Stansberry’s blog, LifeDev.net last week. Here’s an excerpt:

“…We learn that not knowing is a bad thing – something that’ll earn you judgment and probably punishment too. So when we don’t know, we try hard to pretend that we do know and in so doing, we quell our natural curiosity that used to motivate us to observe, experiment and innovate. We try hard to avoid getting into situations where we’re uncertain, so we stick with what we know, and this only serves to dull our creativity, spontaneity and genius further.”

LifeDev.net is an excellent resource for people who are living a creative life or aspiring to be. Check it out for some great resources on organizing your life, being more productive, facing your fears, developing your focus and motivation, and unleashing your creativity. The Most Important Goals You’ll Ever Set

My post, “The Most Important Goals You’ll Ever Set,” got a good reception at Dani’s blog, PositivelyPresent. Here’s an excerpt:

“… In all of this talk and teaching about goal-setting, I’ve noticed that there are certain types of goals and changes that tend to be highlighted, while the really important stuff often gets left out. I’m sure most of you have seen films like The Secret where people talk about their at achieving their goals… like when John Assaraf bought his dream house, or Jack Canfield got his one million dollar cheque, or the “parking lot guy” gets a parking space close to the stores every time. It feels like somewhere along the line, we’ve missed the point of it all, and even in the personal and spiritual development worlds, we’ve gotten sucked into the idea that having more stuff, nicer stuff or more expensive stuff is what will make us happy, and we’ve forgotten that we can be happy RIGHT NOW, regardless of what stuff we have.”

If you’re feeling like the whole personal development world stresses you out a bit because it’s just one goal after another and more activities to fill your plate with, then go and have a visit at Dani’s blog, where you’ll find articles that’ll let you relax into being yourself and enjoying the present moment – a refreshing reminder for you overachievers out there! The Bottom-line on the Flipside, by Adam Jackson

On 1 Sept, I’ll be releasing the Bottom-line on the Flipside by Adam Jackson. This Bottom-line will give you some powerful perspective-shifting tools that’ll enable you to find or create opportunities within crises, and to feel free, regardless of the chaos or difficulties in your circumstances.

If you sign up for the Bottom-line Bookclub before 1 Sept, you’ll get two Bottom-lines in your first month. You’ll get the Bottom-line on Martha Beck’s “Finding Your Own North Star” immediately and you’ll get the Bottom-line on Adam Jackson’s “Flipside” on 1 September, so if you’re thinking of joining the club, this week is a good time. Of course you can unsubscribe from the club at any time, so there’s really no risk at all.
